5 Reasons Potsies Are Obsessed With Dr Woof Compression Socks
If you're a Potsie, compression isn't optional. It's how you get through the day without your heart racing to 140 just from standing up. But finding a pair that's genuinely soft, actually stays up, and doesn't scream "medical device"? That's the hard part. But here's why thousands of Potsies won't wear anything else.
They're Soft Enough To Wear On A Flare Day
Most compression is synthetic. It runs hot, it feels scratchy, and it piles sensory misery on top of an already rough day. Dr Woof is knitted from a bamboo blend, so it's naturally soft, breathable and temperature-regulating.
Gentle enough that even sensitive skin can live in them all day (hi to our EDS friends, we see you). On the days when everything feels like too much, that softness is the difference between wearing your compression and leaving it in the drawer.
"So sweet, breathable, comfortable. It's so nice to feel cute while relieving my POTS symptoms. I wear these with compression shorts while on walks or field trips to reduce my tachycardia."
Brody C. ✓ Verified BuyerThe Compression Is Actually Right For POTS
Dr Woof delivers 15-20 mmHg of graduated compression, the level most commonly recommended for everyday POTS support.
"Graduated" means firmest at the ankle, easing as it climbs: supporting blood flow back up toward your heart, where the pooling in your lower legs works against you when you're upright.
And because "trust me, it's 15-20" isn't good enough, every batch is independently lab-tested so the pressure is genuinely there.
"These are so cute! I get compliments on them all the time, has made my POTS symptoms manageable."

You already worry about anything that restricts circulation the wrong way.
And the last thing you need is a top band cutting into your calf by lunchtime. Dr Woof's no-dig comfort top stays up without digging in or leaving pressure lines.
If standard calf sizes have failed you before, there's Regular, Wide and Extra Wide, so you can match the leg you actually have.
One tip a lot of Potsies swear by: sit down to put them on (the recommended way for us anyway) and they're far easier to manage.
"In LOVE! I have POTS and I'm also working in the nursing industry, these are a game changer for work, every day wear on flare up days, and when I'm travelling. I love these, super comfy and cute!"

So on a hard day, you still get to look like you, not like something pulled from a hospital supply cupboard.

Real Questions Potsies Ask
Is 15-20 mmHg the right level for POTS?
15-20 mmHg is the level most commonly recommended for everyday POTS support, and it's what Dr Woof provides. If your healthcare professional has prescribed a specific compression class or garment, follow their advice, these aren't designed to replace prescribed compression.
Will they actually be tight enough to help?
They're a true 15-20 mmHg graduated compression, and every batch is independently lab-tested to confirm the pressure is there and consistent. If you've been prescribed stronger compression by your clinician, follow that.
Will the top band dig in or cut off my circulation?
The no-dig comfort top is designed to stay up without digging in or leaving marks. Fit matters most here, so measure your foot and calf and choose Regular, Wide or Extra Wide. If anything ever feels too tight, take them off and reassess the size.
Are they hard to put on?
They're still compression socks, so some effort is normal, but a sock that fits your foot and calf doesn't have to stretch as far. Sit down to put them on (the recommended way for Potsies anyway) and it's much easier. Many customers say these are easier to get on than pairs they've had before.
Can I wear them with compression shorts or leggings?
Yes, and lots of Potsies do. Knee-high socks pair well with compression shorts or leggings when you want fuller-leg support, so think of them as part of your layering kit rather than an either/or.
I have EDS or really sensitive skin. Will they be too much?
The bamboo-blend yarn is soft, breathable and gentle on the skin, which is a big reason the EDS and hypermobility crowd reach for them. Measure for a proper fit so there's no unnecessary pressure, and use the 99-Day Comfort Guarantee to see how they feel on real days.
Will they make my POTS go away?
No. Compression socks aren't a cure or a treatment for POTS, EDS or any condition, and they don't replace your medical care. They provide everyday graduated compression support that many people with POTS find helps them get through the day. Always follow your healthcare professional's advice.
What if they don't work for me?
You've got 99 days, subject to the terms of the 99-Day Comfort Guarantee. Wear them on real days and see how they feel. If they're not right for your body, reach out and we'll do our best to sort it.
